I want my hair black with violet streaks....any tips on how i can do this at home?

It depends on if you want it permanent or not.



Permanent: Buy Garnier? 100% Color in black (at any Wal-mart or Target) then go to your local Hot Topic or Spencer's and buy Wild Hair? (i believe is the brand name) and get purple (that brand is made to show up on black hair)

Dye your hair black first then wait a day and follow the instructions on the Wild Hair? box and make sure to use the conditioner provided! It helps make the purple stand out and stay longer.



Temporary: Buy Streaks 'N Tips? Temporary Highlight Spray (available at Sally Beauty Supply) and the buy Spike Your Color? Comb In Color (available at Hot Topic and some Spencer's) and spray your hair with the highlight spray (i say to use this brand because it doesn't take much to get good color and once applied and brushed your hair doesn't feel different than normal) then follow instructions on comb in color and VOILA!

your going to have quite the time doing it yourself! i would recommend going to a salon because you are going to have to bleach the sections you want violet, then also keep the black color off of those sections. its not easy...and professionals can help you make that violet last. its worth the money to get it done professionally :)
Reply:It would be very difficult to bleach your hair, and then apply the violet coloring. But if you're heart's set on doing it at home you'd need a bleaching kit, and then find your desired color and apply. I'd have a lot of pins, and hair ties handy to keep your hair separated.



I would either go to a salon and get it done, or I've seen different colored extensions at Mastercuts for a pretty good price that look very real!

And they have this stuff that you can use to streak your hair at home, and I know that they have purple and violet
Reply:i dont think there is any way....to get purple streaks, u need to like bleach hair or something and other complicated stuff....i would say go to a local hair salon and ask them if u can do it urself and where to buy the color.
Reply:u can go to ur local pharMACY and look for some hair dying things, or go to a beuty salon and ask for some tips!
