I have a large lawn of Kentucky Blue grass. I regularly use weed and feed but it does not kill the wild violets that seem to come up year after year.
I end up digging them by hand but it would be nice to find a spray that works. Even roundup does nothing. I can kill the grass around them but not them.
Does anyone know how to kill wild violets in the grass?
I wish I knew,,,I dig, dig, dig
Reply:Salt it. Salt the whole lawn. I promise, no violets will grow. Ever again.
Reply:Use a broad spectrum "wide leaf weed" killer.
Violets are pretty if they stay where they belong, in a flower bed!
Reply:weed killer
it kills plants too
Reply:try roundup!!!
Reply:Weed killer
Reply:Wild violets are beautiful. Why would you want to kill them?
Reply:yes E D N A will sit on them
Reply:Diversity is good for the lawn and the soil. Why not leave them alone? Wild violets are not considered weeds by everyone. Some wild violets are even sold in plant nurseries.
Reply:Why on earth would you want to kill such beautiful things? What a shame. You should be thanking the Earth for providing you with such beauty.
