Live XXL violet colour (non waterproof one) and dark hair ?

I have very dark brown almost black (well people say it is black its so dark) will the colour still look as bright or will it look rubbish and how can I acheive the best resuts (I have long afro colour hair by the way ) thanks for your answears and is a good hair colouring product??

this will NOT work on your hair, Schwarzkopf XXL is designed for use on people with natural dark blonde hair. what you need to do is to bleach your hair first and THEN use the colour.
Reply:the violet might be okay, i think i've used it, Live XXL tends to be good on darker hair
Reply:I had almost black hair and the colour worked for me, it only stayed on for about 3 weeks though ( I used the permanent dye ) And everytime i washed my hair some of the colour came out, The colour was gorgeous, but it would need topping up every few weeks,
