Want to donate official records of African Violet Society, Storrs/Mansfield CT branch 1950's-60's--any ideas??

My mother was member and president of African Violet Society branch in Storrs/Mansfield CT in 1950's-60's. The branch doesn't seem to exist any longer (not according to the AVS African Violet Society website). I have stacks of African Violet magazines, but also a box marked "African Violet Society Official Records" from the local chapter. I am trying to figure out where these could/should go. Any thoughts? I thought of the National Headquarters, another Connecticut chapter (there doesn't seem to be any East of the Connecticut River), or Mansfield Historical Society. Where do I start? Who would benefit most? Any input appreciated.

Oh! When I was living in LA (attending Otis School of Art and Design) my boyfriend commented as we passed some aged women selling things on a stall in the San Fernando Valley Mall:

''uh the African Violet Society....''

I thought that it was a comment on the ladies being of the older age group! How stupid is that... ha ha !

Thank you! Now I know... only twelve years later!
