Why do people fasion boys with blue, green, black and stuff, and gilrs with pink, violet and etc..?

because those are the connotations behind those colors.

colors like pink make people think of things like flowers and fairies, things that are feminine like females.

colors like blue and green make people think of more masculine things.

over time genders have become connotations of colors. so when someone thinks of pink, they think of girls and blue they think of boys.

your gender really has nothing to do with what you look good in. many boys actually do look good in pink, and some girls really don't.

its a bit like a stereotype of a color.

Pink has just earned the name as a girly color although it has no definite reason. Most girls and guys wear all colors although guys try to avoid those colors marked with girl.
Reply:Girls can wear any color because it's not considered bad for a girl to be a tomboy or boyish. But it's supposed to be bad to be girly, so boys do not want to wear or do things associated with femininity. Even many girls don't want to be 'girly', cause it's considered an insult. I think that boys and girls should wear whatever colors they want without society criticizing or encouraging them to do certain things. We should all stop discriminating against females.
