Can I keep my African Violets on the outdoor patio ?

I am currently keeping my African Violets on the outdoor pation in the moderately shaded area, away from the direct sunlight. Is it OK?

one of the plants, i used to keep in the sun and the leaves lost its pigment, so i moved them in the shade. Any suggestions? Should i move them indoors?

African violets do not like direct sun nor wet feet. Best to keep them in indirect sun, like indoors, and the soil barely moist for the best success.
Reply:African Violets are commonly grown as houseplants. Mainly because they are VERY fussy!!

The original A.V. grew in East Africa on the jungle floor. They like filtered early sun or bright indirect light. They prefer a location where the temps average 60 to 70 degrees (day and night) and where there is high humidity.

Good Luck!!
Reply:I had them outside in the shade (Georgia USA) had to take them indoors late June (Gets a bit warm here 80 F by then) I kept the pots on top of gravel inside of saucers with water in them worked pretty well they gained a lot of foliage
