Where do I locate the paint code number on a 1997 Plymouth Neon Highline?

My car is the that rare blue- blue violet color that they made during that year only- now I know why- the paint color constantly peels! My roof is totally bare of paint now and the trunk is going to become that way soon if I do not find the paint code to match the color and paint the thing. I bought the car used in 2004, so there is no owner's manual to refer to and the repair manual doesn't list the paint code anywhere. If someone knows exactly where on the car it is located, I'd greatly appreciate that info.

Thanks!

If it is peeling paint, it is most likely Lapis Blue, and the paint code is: PC4. However, Light Iris Metallic, is more of a blue/blue violet color that you described, and it's paint code is: PC5

Lapis Blue was available from 95 to 98, however it wasn't too rare. Light Iris Metallic was available from 95 to 97 and wasn't a very common color.

To make sure, the location of your paint code will be found on the inside painted part of the driver side door, and this place only.

Good luck repainting your Neon.
Reply:Here you go..this is the perfect website for Auto Paint Code Numbers
Reply:On the side of the door panel.... I had to edit this. In the Neon, it is located under the passenger seat, not on the door panel.
Reply:Check the inside of your door, where you close it and it latches close. If that doesn't work try the sticker inside of your hood. The other thing you can do is call the service department of the dealer or show up and ask them. There is little touch up paints available at the dealer, so they will be more than happy to help you figure it out for free.
Reply:Generally two places. Look around the door inside the exterior. If not, raise the hood and check the firewall at the rear of the engine compartment. Next, last ditch effort? Call dodge and ask for the pain gone..
